At the age of 19, Y.Teezy has been influenced by some of the greatest names in hip-hop history to the point where he as fully absorbed his passion for music. Born in Brooklyn, New York but raised on the eastside of Atlanta, Y.Teezy grew up listening to artists such as Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, Nas, T.I., Young Jeezy and the Game. Luckily for him, in contrast to the faults of many upcoming rappers,  Teezy quickly realized that although he was a fan of their music, he could not relate to their street life lyrics. Today, with younger inspirations such as Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean, the Atlanta artist is currently building up his internet presence with the release of his music and working on dropping even more hot songs.

Using music as his outlet, Y.Teezy has been writing songs since the age of 12 and recording his own music since the age of 14. Whether he’s rapping about his own life or what’s happening around him, he never fails to switch up his flow on a variety of beats such as on his songs “Bowtie” and “DGWV (Diamonds, Gold, Women, Versace).”  Recently, Teezy has had the opportunity to perform at venues such as the Apache Café in Downtown Atlanta, the H$W Rooftop Event, and at DJ Roc’s Opening Event at Vixen Lounge. Y.Teezy will be releasing his free album some time in 2013 and is currently in the works of releasing new visuals for some of the songs on his latest mixtape Fuck Yo’ Favorite Rapper 2.
